Frequently Asked Questions
-
Why don't you list the flavours in your chocolate boxes?
We make all our chocolates in small batches so we can assure you are always getting the freshest truffles and newest flavours. They are all hand made and hand painted, so every truffle will look unique. As such, we cannot guarantee the look of a specific flavour will always be consistent. While we can label our batches in our shop, we haven’t found an efficient system to include the changing flavours in our boxes.
At Blowing Dandelion, we’d hope you enjoy all our chocolates whether you knew the specific flavour or not. However, we do understand that it can be important for some to know precisely what they are getting. If you have a specific dietary requirement or allergies, please let us know and we can best tailor a box to suit your requirements. -
Can I add a Gift Message to my order?
We offer the option of adding a free gift message to any order you place. You can add this during checkout by filling in the “Add a Gift Message” form.
We also offer the option of adding a free personalised message which will be piped in icing to the top of any whole cakes. You will be asked to write the message when adding the cake to your cart. Simply fill out the form and we’ll take care of the rest.

Where does your chocolate come from?
We use Callebaut Single Origin Dark Ecuador and Milk Arriba Callets when making our range of truffles, cakes and confectionary. Using only the finest ingredients, Callebaut has been crafting its Finest Belgian Chocolate in the heart of Belgium for more than 100 years. They only use sustainably grown, well-fermented and sun-dried main crop cocoa beans traceable to farmer communities in Ghana, Ivory Coast and Ecuador. The cocoa beans for our chocolate are bought as much as possible directly from farmer cooperatives. This way, the farmers earn a better price for their crops, can invest in their farms and improve their livelihoods.

What if I have an allergy/a dietary requirement?
We try to list all allergen information and dietary notes under each product on our shop page as well as on our Ingredients & Allergens page. However if you have any concerns or queries feel free to contact us directly. Please note many of our products may contain traces of nuts as it is almost impossible to guarantee a completely nut free environment in our kitchen.

How should I store my chocolates?
A cool dry place is always preferable to a fridge. If room temperature is more than 25°C, it is probably advisable to put them in the fridge. Keep in the original packaging or wrap chocolate and seal carefully before refrigerating. Allow chocolate to return to room temperature before unwrapping and eating.

What is Single Origin Chocolate?
Origin chocolate is made from cocoa beans grown in a single country, region or even plantation. Like wine, cocoa is a terroir product, which gets its signature taste and quality down to the soil, climate and care of the farmers. Origin chocolates are rare!
